On behalf of all of my colleagues on the Board of Chess Corps, I want to thank you for your interest in our organization. Chess Corps’ mission is to educate, rehabilitate, and enrich the lives of people through the promotion of the culture of chess. We fulfill this mission by creating and disseminating chess programs, by developing educational and therapeutic curricula and by publishing literature about chess and its prominence as a popular and timeless pastime throughout the world.

We believe that chess is a discipline whose unique benefits reside in its ability to develop the physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual potential of human beings. Chess has its own values as a game, sport, art, science, and therapy. Chess’ practice and study can shape the way people view and interact with each other. It can serve as a medium for human communication, and it can train a person to look at situations from a different viewpoint other than his or her own. Chess has the ability to shape our interactions with the world.
Of course as practitioners of chess, we enjoy a challenge and we like winning. Promoting the culture of chess worldwide is a challenge we are meeting together, and we are winning.
As Chess Corps. continues to grow we are dependent on the generosity and commitment of volunteer leaders and donors without whom our programs would be impossible. We invite you to join us in this great adventure.
Thank you very much for your interest and support.
